Dramatic Life!!!

A blog full of dumb and terrible things. HI THERE.
the only good shot i got of the show was a wall full of gay porn. go figure.
the Born Gold/USF/ICUH8N show was incredible. i left exhausted, but in a good sense, like my day was complete. there’s no real way to describe how good i felt, so let’s just leave it at “wow wo wwowoowowowow”
ICUH8N busted out some really dark, heavy beats for the warm-up, and kept it rolling with good hip-hop sampling and a throbbing, pulsating force.
USF layered track after track after track, creating a complex fabric of pounding, loud, thoroughly enjoyable electronic potpourri.
Born Gold worked the audience into a palpable energy, and kept it going through their whole set. Cecil is a really great frontman and was really down to earth and kind even as i awkwardly professed my love and affectation for his work. i got my 7” vinyl doodled on to commemorate the show.
it was seriously the live event i’ve ever seen, bar none. if you get a chance to see Born Gold on tour, do it.
FUCKING DO IT.

I intended for it to be released two months later. Boy was I way off the mark! It went through a few incarnations before settling on this one: two four-track movements. In case you are curious, movement one is “Industry” and movement two is “Mythology.”
Enjoy! Please purchase if you enjoy it. I’m still out of a job and everything helps.

If you like drone/noise/ambient you’re missing out on a great experience if you don’t pick this up!

I’m still struggling a bit. New album has been slower in coming than I had thought, and I still haven’t found a job. If you want to support me financially, please consider picking this up.
Feelin’ kinda down lately so I think the new album is gonna be a bit more depressing, hah.

—Visceral Flotsam

For those who don’t know, I lost my job about a week and a half ago. I’m currently strapped for funds, and while there are several job prospects and money-making opportunities on the horizon, they are a little ways off.

If you want to help, feel free to give a listen (and maybe purchase!) my first album Insanity Encroaching. It’s a bunch of gross, squalid, droning tracks, with some awesome remixes by Aurastys, mno00, and Signal R183. I’m pretty proud of it!

Please spread the word!

HEY. DO YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE MUSIC OUT OF A TREE AND A BROKEN PIANO? This video is fucking insane. Love love love it. This guys does some really amazing stuff.

inventing a new instrument seems like a really hard thing to do, but also a really cool thing

I dunno if I’d call this an “invention” per se, but it’s really fucking cool and now i wanna try it :V

“Thank You” Album Cover (2010)
Digital Illustration
Done for my album.

Looking back through Casey’s “pro” blog and realizing that I would kill to see this album cover reimagined as a super detailed 11x17” poster.

Absolutely agreeing with this. Hell, I’d love to have most of Casey’s artwork on my walls really.

I actually recall this being a poster.

DARIUS - ERGOSPHERE out now!

dariusalpha:

get DARIUS - ERGOSPHERE from lapfox trax

dropping this a bit early just in case my sleeping schedule (my what?) prevents me from being awake 10 hours from now when this should drop.

easily my most ambitious full album to date and easily trumps Figurehead as far as effort and overall musicality are concerned. i explore a lot of progressive and jazz territory throughout the album, albeit through relatively cheesy synthesized means.

hope you guys like it, and reblogs are always super appreciated. thank you! <3

pretty sure i don’t have to tell any of you that renard is the greatest, but i’m going to anyway

he’s the greatest
