1929 and then FDR’s presidency have little to no impact on the upward trajectory of the 1920s. For Obama to say Mitt Romney wants to take us back to the 1920s—not the 1930s—means that Romney supports the same policies which allowed for the growth in American wealth to create the greatest boom we’ve had.
